Silly, inexperienced me didn't have a clue, so tomorrow (day 21!!!) we shall see if guessing is 'good enough'...Oh, I am soo nervous!!!!

I was terribly scared that they had all died when the temp. went to 107, but take a deep breath and try to find something to concentrate on.(I know it is real, real hard to do!) and Good Luck on your hatch! and good Luck to Tanichca, too!​

day 21 is only 6.5 hours away! almost..... there..... must..... hang.. on... to.... sanity.....
Momma hen broke 2 silkie eggs this morning but both were duds, all rotten and smelly. i hope the other 3 silkies are good....

Zipped! one ameraucana egg with cracks around it remarkably similar to the pics Adozengirlz posted. another looks like it may be pipped. Momma hen is pecking at them both, is this normal?

Hooray!! Fingers crossed for you! I've never had a setting hen though, so I can't tell you whether her pecking is normal, however, when my second chick was pipping, the first chick hatched was pecking at the egg (trying to help her out, maybe?).
