Can someone tell me if this is a blue or lavender silkie?

Hi, I’ve just started keeping silkies in the last few months. There aren’t any hatcheries in my area and certainly no one who I can ask. I’ve searched online and the images are confusing.

Can someone tell me if I have a lavender or blue Silkie? I’ve someone came up to me to ask what color this is and I’m not entirely sure.

I wasn’t able to check what colors the parents were as the person who passed them to me got them from someone else, so that lead came to a dead end.

The little hints of dark areas make me think splash.

Seems too pale for blue, so it's down to splash or lavender. I think I would go with splash, too, because the color is a little patchy. But it's really a fine line. Maybe @LadiesAndJane can help.

I'm on the fence but leaning lavender. Lavender can have slight variations I their coloring. I would think a splash as being lighter. This one seems to have good lavender coloring.

Sorry a little late to respond. I am leaning lavender as well. Test breeding will help figure it out.

Hi, I know this is late. But that looks like a white silkie with blue splash. The lavender gene—or so I’ve heard—is PRETTY hard to come by. I’m raising silkies myself and have a splash. If you have questions, ask me.
