Can someone tell me if this silkie is a boy or girl is about 3-4 weeks

Your chick looks a bit young, but from the time of red appearing on the comb I would guess cockerel. No guarantees at this age.

It looks like he has "slipped wing". This is a disqualification at fairs and shows but otherwise I don't think it matters. Just a random observation

I would guess cockerel, but he’s way too young to tell for sure. Post new pics in a few weeks and we’ll have a better idea

I have to agree that my guess would be cockerel but it’s quite young for an accurate sex. Update in a few weeks hopefully it’ll show more signs.

Would anyone want this chicken I have to get rid of him and dont know what to do. Its breaks my heart because he is so sweet and gentle. He lets you pets him anywhere and his feet are so big and fluffy and overall he is just the best darn chicken. Can males chickens be neutered? I know that probably a dumb question and its a no but i thought it was worth a shot to ask any recommendations on what I should do with him. My family keeps saying my only option is to kill him
