Can someone tell me what breed this duck is?

hes in with 2 ducklings now. they were born on 5/6 so they are pretty young. They just run around in one lil flock Cuddle together in the corner, its pretty cute. I have searched everywhere here & cant even find sexed ducklings, let alone adult ducks. All online hatcheries have a huge (well huge for me lol) minimum order & I put a wanted ad on here & craigslist, just no luck yet. My fiances dad is putting in an order for pheasant from a local hatchery so hes gonna ask about ducks when he calls tomorrow. I have full incubators now till atleast july if not longer, so I would have to wait a while to hatch ducks. Even the brooders are full! lol I will have to make another brooder if I get a ducky.. I dont think she can be in with turkeys or quail.. well maybe the turkeys, I had the others in with chicks.  hmmmmm.... Whys it gotta be so difficult to find! lol. 

Metzer farms sells sexed ducklings and can send as few as 2 if your willing to pay the small order charge which I think is $40 along with the duckling price and shipping. Its kinda expensive to do it that way. That's good hopefully they sell sexed ducklings you sound so busy brooders and incubators full wow. Talk about full time mom yes it is so difficult sometimes but always worth it. I hope you find what your looking for.

thanks, yeah I saw that, but I dont think I can convince my fiance that 2 ducks are worth $40 in shipping. Yeah, this is my first time doing this, haha I didnt realize what I was getting myself into, and just kept getting more

Meyer hatchery sells sexed ducklings and has a min of 3 other than that I'm not sure and I don't their pricing either. Lol I bet its wonderful to have that much cuteness all the time. I don't blame your fiancé it is quite expensive esp for only a few ducklings.

yeah it is, but sometimes it sucks.. we had a silkie tragedy a week ago, and now a turkey tragedy last night.. both were my fault. I didnt think my lil silkie would goto the duck pond & drown. And I didnt set the heat lamp right in the brooder & caught it on fire (thank goodness its a huge aquarium),but I lost 1 of my 3 turkeys, but I think Im gonna get a new one today. I guess its all trial & error..I need to have less errors! haha.
Yeah, if it wasnt for that small order charge, I would get them in a heartbeat. He says we have enough right now and a duck will come along at some point, and that its not a necessity right now. lol. Then he says if its that serious we will get some of the unsexed ones from the guy selling turkey and hope majority will be girls.. Im still waiting on an answer from his dad, so hopefully they have them.. crossing my fingers

I'm so sorry for your losses. Ya that small order charge is what kills it for me too. And its about the same price to get the min of ducklings if you have the space for them anyway. Not a necessity I think he's sick jk I'm crossing mine too! Hope it all works out.

haha! thanks! yeah, we are clearing out the brush behind our house to make it a lil poultry farm, but its not done yet. Yeah, he doesnt understand what is necessary and what isnt. Although my project that started as 2 chicks quickly turned into 8 chickens, 3 turkeys, 3 ducks, 48 button quail in the incubator, 5 goose eggs on the way, and 20+ chicken eggs on the way... lol I dont think hes loving the fact that he has to build yet another coop(or 2,or 3 or 10)

Lol I guess you do have an addiction. That's o.k. we all have that addiction lol. Don't worry its just the building he don't like after that he will love them or at least inside he will lol. My bf doesn't care for them but yet when we are brooding babies he stays up all night just to make sure they are o.k. and don't run out of food or anything lol. Back when our ducklings were inside I heard them peeping really loud and went to check on them only to find that my bf had put them in the tub because they were sleeping and pooped on each other. I caught him adding more bedding because it was too dirty for them to sleep on after their bath lol.

aww how cute!! he made me "help build" the coop we just made. I was stapling chicken wire to the board under the coop & laid in a fire ant hill... so i quit (after a temper tantrum of course) .. haha i just supervised from then on out.. but i got my revenge when i put the chickens in with those dang ants

. now he has to do it himself, I help a little, with the girly jobs like painting and having to hold stuff. but yuck those ants were enough to deter me away from building. thats cute that he takes care of them like that. My fiance has to clean out the brooders because of my allergies. the dust from the pine shavings makes me cough up a lung. i think we might switch to sand though. hes pretty good about that, thats his only job. I had to hang a restraining order against him from my quail eggs on the door to remind him not to touch my incubators. He cleaned out a brooder & sat the waterer on my incubator, on day 1 of my quail incubation. fried my incubator.. He wont make that mistake again lol.. but it dried out & works again. yay! but hes only allowed to touch certain things in that room now. You should have seen him when the brooder caught on fire. I sent him in to check what was beeping, and stayed outside because i thought it was nothing. he comes running downstairs with a tiny box wit the turkeys in.. his first thought was to save the turkeys..then put the fire out.. i thought it was cute
i think hes getting anxious about these quail hatching, i think hes texted from work 5x to ask if any hatched yet.. haha.. he just complains, i think deep down he LOVES it!

Omg I would of been so mad about the ant hill after I screamed and freaked out of course lol. Ya we used straw at first but he was sneezing and cough and would break out when he touched it so he told me we had to switch cause he couldn't touch the bedding. I've heard good things about sand but with having only ducks I haven't tried it. Omg I can't imagine what must of been going trough his head when he realized it was broken. Glad it still works though! Aww that's so cute that he saved them first. Glad that no damage was done from the fire. It sounds like he is. Lol he deff loves it!
