I was sitting outside today with my rooster when I seen this thing sticking up from his tail. I have never seen it before but it appears to be apart of him. Can someone tell me what this is?

Don't worry one little bit!That is a preening nub.It creates oils to help them preen

Cluckcluck1215, is correct! It's just the oil gland, it secretes oil to use during preening.
