can someone think off any names for my chickens!!

My daughter named our hens - when she was 8 she names our two GLW Bob (short for Roberta) and Hootie (short for Hoot Hoot - a Pokemon character). Our EE girls are Mimi and Violet. Now that she is 9, our new girls are: Buffy (a Buff Orpington named after Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Gallifrey ( after the planet of the time lords from Dr. Who) and Coco (a Polish named after Coco Chanel).
I say, go with your interests and pick names that are fun to say. I love calling Gallifreeeeeey....
Not that they actually listen to their names - they really just respond to 'here chickie chickie chickie' because that means treats.

I know you only have five, but why not name them after the Greek Muses. Just pick the five you can pronounce best.

Clio, Euterpe, Thalia, Melpomeni, Terpsichore, Erato, Polymnia, Ourania and Calliope.

I have Henny Penny (blue cochin), Goldie (EE), Evelyn (EE), Buffy (BO), Jayhawk (WC Polish), Happy Feet (Silkie roo), Oscar (golden polish roo), Henry (OEGB roo), Agnes (BCM), and lots of others that haven't been named yet!

A few names that I've come up with for mine are:

Camille & Chenille(Partridge Rock pullets)
Lucy & Ethel(White Wy. pullets)
Pearl & Chicken Jane(White Rock pullets)
Henny Penny, Bernadette & Kevin(RIR 2 pullets, 1 Roo)
Ruby, Wilma, Verna & Eunice(Red Star pullets)
Harriet & Sweet Pea(Columbian Wy. pullets--Sweet Pea named herself as she is the sweetest of the bunch!)
Perdita & Clementine(Silver Laced Wy. pullets)
Barbra & Peggy Sue(Barred Rock pullets)
Bernice, Agnes & Mabel(Black Star pullets)
Dominee(Dominique--thinking girl, but I don't know for sure)

I also have 3 straight run BLRW. I think I've got 2 boys and one girl of these, but I'm not yet sure so they don't have names yet...If one is a boy he'll probably be "Blue".

Ours are all named after baseball players.

I named mine by getting a baby name book, and opening it randomly. I would close my eyes and wherever my finger landed on the page, that was their name. I think there is a random baby name generator online. www.babynamegenie.com Makes for some interesting names.

My daughter loves Greek myths so our chickens will be named after Greek Goddesses. Aphrodite, Persephone and Athena are our top choices at the moment.

Greek Gods & Goddesses: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Ares, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Hephaestus, Gaea, Chaos, Hestia, Demeter, Rhea, Hera, Athena, Metis, Artemis, Leto, Aphrodite, Persephone. I'm also partial to Medusa for a crazy chicken!

For Egyptian Gods & Goddesses found this link: http://www.king-tut.org.uk/egyptian-gods/

Our current flock is named after egg names too:
Holly (holindaise), Benny (benedict), Sunny (side up): Buff Orps
Puddin and Nog (RI's)
Quiche and Souflet (Barred Rocks)
Omlet (NH Red)
Meringue (Red Sex Link)
Brownie (Black Sex Link)

The kids call Brownie "Po" alternatively because she looks like the Raven in Po's poem.

Our prior flock was named after female comedians of the classic era:
Lucy and Ethel (RI's)
Gracie (Buff)

Chicken dishes also work:
Teriakyi (Brown Leg Horn)
Nugget (Buff Orp)

Have fun :-D

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Took me 2 weeks and 3 trys to name my daughter. I'm leaning towards a "nut" theme: butternut, hazelnut, honeynut (still thinking) then maybe name their coop "The Nuthouse". It fits my family
