I can ALWAYS tell when my students use internet translators. The example I give them is: I can fly. Proper Spanish is Yo puedo volar. Plug it into an internet translator and you will get Yo lata la mosca. Yo = I, lata = can (like a tin can), and la mosca = fly (as in a housefly).
