Can talcon powder work as mite powder?

Uhh...Not that I can see...Evervating? Not with these. they immediately stop flitting around when they smell this baby powder..they hate it.

The oil smothers them.

Old timers used to burn their coops down when they got mites(I'm considering building a new one myself at this point) So far I've used psp & permethrin,on the coop & chickens both.I've also used neem oil,coconut oil & vaseline on their skin & legs.To kill them internally I'm using Ivermectin.I cant imagine how hard it would be to treat mites with just coconut oil . Edit:To get rid of mites you have to treat everything not just the chicken
