on day 19/20....yesterday and they are due to hatch today...
accident. knocked over incubator. some of the egg shells chipped. the membranes are intact. not open at all.
there is no bad odor. so I would think that they were/are good eggs.
did not candle. don't know how to candle brown eggs.

they are in the "hatcher" so...no rotting now. plenty of humidity.
any other suggestions?

thanks

Oh, goodness - what an accident! I don't know that they'll survive unless you can wrap them in a dampened towel or paper towel or soemthing and have some way to keep it moist. If the shell is exposing large portions of the membrane, the membrane will completely dry and "shrink wrap" the baby inside. If you could post pics, that would help us give you more ideas!

I'd opt to get humidity as high as you possibly can until you figure something out.

thanks so much. you covered the part that had me worried. they are now nestled in some damp paper towels that we will keep that way. I wasn't the one who did the deed. but I could have been. I hope the rest of the eggs are ok.

3 of the undamaged eggs plus 1 of the damaged eggs have hatched today. woohoo!!

Congrats!!!!
