I am new to ducks and geese as well. I have however learned that it's wonderful fun for me and them when I cut up some spinach into shreds and toss it into their little pool with them.

How old are your little guys?

if you just add some brewers yeast to the chick starter you'll be fine...honestly i've raised plenty of ducks and used chick starter and never had an issue or had to use the niacin. Pretty soon you'll want different kinds and start ordering eggs and hatching them so they'll imprint..sooo much funnnn!! love my fuzzy butts

Sweet sorry its been so long. I've had long and rough couple days. How's things? How are the babies?

I hear ya. Its deff been a long few days for sure. I'm now at my don't look at me or I'll rip your head off phase lol. Things are doing good. I was gonna order a few males and females to even out my breeds as when my ducklings arrived I had 2 die(the extras) and in the middle I got a runner duck from somewhere lol so I figured I'd just order from a hatchery as no one around here has most of the breeds I have I mean no one lol. I figured to help me meet my minimum I'd buy some chickens for my mom for mothers day even though it will be past then. She wanted some and I needed to fill a minimum so I figured I could do it that way. I'm excited. I'm also considering getting some geese. Just like 1 to try it out but maybe 2 not sure yet. I'm leaning more towards 2 though. I'll let you know how that goes I'm gonna use the excuse that their diet consists of mostly grass aka automatic lawn mowers lol. Even though I mow the lawn but still lol. Babies are doing great! They can now get into the pool all by themselves! And while they were in there I was playing with them and I saw the beginnings of drake feathers! I'm sooo happy my babies are growing up. Also my 4 eggs in my incubator are due to hatch on the 9th! How's things with you and your babies(human babies count too )
