I seem to have 3 roosters in my flock of birds. One is ( was) supposed to be a white Chantecler, but he has mutton chops and greeny, grey legs. Can't say what he is. The other is a Silver Speckled Hamburg and the last is a Mottled Houdan. The Hamburg and Houdan have lived together with the Hamburg hen since birth. There was originally 2 of each but the other Houdan died. I have seen but big brute of an Orpington picking on the Houdan in the coop at night. He seems to insist on sleeping in her place and every night is relegated to sleeping on his own. In total, I have 4 Buffs, 1 Chantecler, 4 Rhodies, 2 Silver Pencilled Wyandottes , the Roo assortment and 4 Eastern Wild/ Bronze Turkey crosses. The Turkeys have their own hotel. Should I be concerned about this many Roos? Mostly I'm concerned for Rosie, the Hamburg Hen as she will be easy pickin's for all three. Any advice would be helpful and appreciated.
