Can two "same sex" geese be happy?

one step at a time, lol. honestly, as much as i'd love more geese i'm worried the space is too small. their secure overnight run is only 6x12 & the coop/house has a 4x4 base. they're only confined inside overnight or if i am away & have a large yard to graze all day.

so for now i'll just enjoy my boys; they make me very happy.

i have two ganders that hatched out earlier this year. it's tempting to add more - either another set of ganders or hens. i know they're very social birds & i wonder if more birds might be better for them.
If your looking for pets and you have 2 boys that get along your fine they should do well together for a lifetime... Once you add a girl they may begin to compete but in the long run still get along. I have 2 sets of ganders Mind you they have all been raised with hens. I call them sets because when it comes down to mating they will com peat but each group has a leader. They are all in the same pen except during breeding season. My 2 brown boys were raised together they are one group. The other is my 3 buff boys same way.. The buffs avoid the browns they have learned not to take them on... So I guess what Im saying if your ok with 2 boys dont feel you have to add if you want more kidos they are addicting be ready for the drama but the geese do eventually work it out... I added whites this year and yes one is a gander. He has learned he is 3rd in the pecking order of the 6 boys. Yes they all sleep together at night all get along but they understand there place in the flock. I do have 13 girls. Many of them dont have a boyfriend. But they are young we will see what happens when spring gets here. Come February my boys are all moved in pens with girls I choose and separated from there male partners. Before breeding season is over they are usually put back together in a flock...

the boys i have now seem to get along pretty well. someday, once i have more facilities, i'd like to add more. but for now, i'm just glad they're getting along.

Spring will be here soon much better time for it. Thank you for loving your boys. Your pasture looks like a goose dream of perfection...
