Can wild ducks be tamed? I think they are mallards.

They can tamed! In new zealand there are parks with ponds and the ducks come up to you and are tame.. the trick is to feed them. start by throwing food for them in and around the pond. After a while they will know humans mean food
it takes a while but eventually they eat from your hands.

People in NZ feed them bread but this isnt good for them. however, i would still recommend feeding them a bit because they can see it in the water easily and they like it. you can buy duck food from pet-stores.. its usually corn.

You cant keep adult wild ducks even if you cold keep them. they would be depressed, its illegal and they could spread diseases. so everybody loses. just get some ducklings and raise those if you really want some ducks
