Can you add eggs to the incubator????

Just remember that when you stagger hatches with only one bator, you chance sacrificing some chicks for other chicks. Personally, I wouldn't do it. Don't begin collecting the eggs until about 5 days before your current hatch is due. Save them in a cool place and then place them after the hatch....AND THE BATOR IS DISINFECTED!!

Another problem with staggered hatches is that you have a longer chance for bacteria to build up in the bator with the increase in humidity, etc.

Well this is all very useful information....And I am glad to know that I can save up the eggs for a few days and put them all in the bator at the same time, this is the method I will use.....It probably is the easiest and least time consuming, I mean as far as having hatchling everyday for a week

I just got done with a staggered hatch and I would not do it again...just didn't work out that great for me and my hatch rate was lower than normal too. If you put the male and the females together be sure to wait three weeks before incubating 'THEIR' eggs to make sure you got that breeds eggs. IF you had another rooster running around with her that is.
