Can you breed identify for me?

Just googled it, and I found a birchen Cochin that looks just like him... Only I thought Cochin was a large breed?

Yes some Cochin are very large birds. The birchen is a smaller varity. Also many Cochin breeds are availabe in a "bantam" smaller version.

Most large breed chickens also have a bantam counterpart. Bantam Cochins are quite common.

Well, he us lovely. He lets me hold him and my kids pet him, and he also stops my ameruacana from beating up the mix. I absolutely love him, no matter what he is!!

That sounds like a Cochin, they are one of the "lapdogs" of the chicken world, and the roos aren't aggressive hardly ever to humans. Looks like he has the fluffy legs too
