my first broody chicken.
I got her on the 14,12,2012 and on the 23 of February she's broody.
Jewel is her name because she cost $60. She is a Silkie hen. She is white and non bearded. She lays one egg every 2 days
and I noticed she sat on the her egg after she laid for a hour and then go off. So at night I got her and put her in a separate coop
and she sat on them till today. It is her third day sitting. We are worried she wont take breaks.
So hopefully she stays on them for the 21 days. Since she is new the Isa Browns peck on her. So can you hope with me that the eggs hatch? If so these will be my first chicks and they will be interesting because our rooster is crossed with Welsummers, Rhode Island Red, Brown Leghorn and Isa Browns and the eggs are hers so
