Can you eat any breed

I've got six 2 month old, light sussex x silkies chicks, what would be the right weight to get them too, their 20 weeks on the 7th nov, their for eating. I think most are cockerels

It's just a matter of balancing amount of meat with tenderness of meat. Hard to predict how much meat you'll get with that cross. Personally I'd do them by 20 weeks because I prefer to be able to grill them. Up to you, really.

Tastes like chicken? No, seriously though....we have SC Gamecocks...and they are skinny little nuggets. We already processed 2....they are basically the size of a processed cornish hen. But, those 2 will make a fine supper when we get to that point. I have them re-homed n the freezer right now. Brrrrr......
