Well, I was wondering can you eat fertile eggs? Is it harmful or is it ok.

You just need to gather them every day and put them in the refrigerator, because if they sit too long on hot days (or obviously if you have a broody hen) they will begin to develop.

We eat them everyday! The only difference is a tiny dot of DNA added to the egg. Nothing else changes. And you aren't ever going to find a baby in your morning omlett. It has to be at such an exact temperature for so long...I mean it is really a miracle.

Yes. It is perfectly okay to eat fertilized eggs.

I have friends who, for personal reasons, prefer to eat an egg which had no chance of development but once the fertilized egg is stored inside the fridge, the embryo no longer undergoes any change or development.

The jury is still out on whether fertile chicken eggs are healthier than unfertilized eggs and this remains a highly debatable subject. If you want to get the most of the egg’s nutrients, go for the freshest eggs available. The longer eggs are kept, the more their protein content gets lost.

Thanks so much everyone! I just wanted to be safe
