Can you feed dog food to chickens?

Ancient thread I know, but I am strongly motivated to warn folks about feeding dog food to cats: it's a very, very bad idea. In fact even dry cat food is really bad for them. Look up "obligate carnivore" and you'll see a picture of your cat. Cats do not do carbs well.
