Can you feed meat and layer chicks meat bird food?

as chicks, im pretty sure the food is the same regardless! meat food has higher protein and lower calcium, layer feed vis versa. my understanding is that both are intended for adults, or at least adolescents. someone please correct me if i'm wrong!

I guess I meant like meat bird starter VS normal chick starter?

Sure, you can feed meat bird starter to egger chicks. It just has higher protein. I like to feed 20% protein chick starter / all-flock feed to my egger flock year round. I never feed layer feed, I just give them oyster shell and grit separately and they eat what they want. I only provide oyster shell after hens start laying.

Meat bird starter calcium levels are safe for chicks and roosters and non-egg laying hens. That's the only issue I can think of, and it's okay.
