Can you freeze jelly beans?

(Can't decide which emotion...) I bought the last two bags of leftover Easter jellybeans at the farm market. Now I need to hide them from my kids...

In an act of desperation, I at the five jellybeans that I froze (after defrosting), they were not as good as fresh jellybeans. The outside of them got sticky and gummy... still tasted ok, but not the same.

I know I can always get JellyBellys but I like the 5 fruit flavor ones from Easter... Gimbals also makes some yummy jellybeans that I can get at my local drugstore.

Did you thaw them at room temp or in the fridge? There may be some trick to this.

There's no category for defrosting jellybeans...

What do I classify them as? Fruit, Vegetable???

I defrosted them at room temperature.

Jelly Beans are classified as "goodies" and thus are
not intended to last long enough to freeze.

Best when eaten fresh, but you can hide them from
your kids (or wife as the case may be)

Being the Spook that I am...may I suggest your nightstand
as a suitable hiding place.

As my Oreo cookies are more valuable, I hide them with
more care. My desk has one of those locking drawers.

...I really just do not know if I wouldl take a chance on freezing
five jelly beans..

Spook....who knows lots of important things.
