Can you grind Strike III poultry dewormer?

It comes in pellet form and my small bantams pick them out.i was wondering if i can grind it (like in a coffee grinder) and then mix lightly with oil just enough to get it to stick to their food.
Or would the grinding destroy its medicinal properties? Thanks

Sure, grinding it up sounds like a good idea. My birds wouldnt touch it due to the pellets since they are used to crumbles. I wouldnt add oil though. Oil covering the crumbles may not release the active ingredient (hygromycin B) that treats worms and may not be properly digested. You can add water to it to make a gruel without losing any properties. Your bantams should scoff it up.
