can you guess------------------------------>hen or roo

I'm thinking pullets too, I've got girls with both types of tail feathers and there are no pointy saddle or hackle feathers on either bird.

Both are pullets. Note the saddle feathers just before the tail. Roos are more pointed than that. Dont be concerned about the slight curl in the tail for they will soon molt these out and grow more strait ones in their place. At 15 weeks they should be crowing if their roos and show that definate boy behavior. These girls should start laying in 3 to 8 weeks.

At 15 weeks, I would think we would see more pronounced pointy saddle feathers. It is hard to tell from the pics because they are all white, BUT everything I see looks rounded.

I think you might have two pullets. Hopefully in another month or two, you will see some eggs and tell us if we were right or not.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. ill wait a few more weeks and cross my fingers for an egg:)and ill take some pics and post results.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and be unpopular. Both birds look to me to have pointy hackle feathers. I'm saying they are both roos and 1 is just behind in development a bit.

Don't shoot me.

Edited: The one does look to have a hen type tail though, so maybe you do have 1 pullet. But 1 for sure is a roo.
