I have some day old bantam chicks. I decided my last batch of 10 really did not bond with us and that we should spend more time with these babies. Then I started to get worried that maybe we were stressing them out by picking them up. They chirp a lot when we are holding them rather than their happy quietness in the brooder. What do u think?

I don't think you can handle them too much but, they need 95 degs temps for the first week. Maybe they are a little cold when you are holding them? AC running? = too cold for chick.

Yeah idk about over handling them but just try to keep them as warm as you can when handling them:)

OK thx--today we will go outside when loving on them. It is certainly hot enough out there!!!

I've read that you really can't love on them too much.
