can you hatch bought eggs under hen?

I would like to order some hatching eggs but have no incubator. Have several broody hens and was wondering if I could put the eggs under one of them and they would hatch. Also do I need to let the eggs sit as I have seen posted after they arrive before I put them under the hen?

Leave them to rest at room temperature for 12-24 hours. And yes you can put bought eggs under a hen.
