Can you hatch pullet eggs?

How long should you wait for hatching eggs from a pullet?  And do pullets go broody?  I got my hens in April at 1 day old.  I also have 3 hens that are just over 21 weeks they are Lav. Orpingtons but they haven't even started laying eggs yet.

Well, I don't think there is any specific time to wait, but I would wait at least a month. Pullet eggs start out a bit small, so you at least want to wait until they start getting a bit bigger. I usually don't hatch eggs until March and most of my pullets are almost a year old by then and have been laying at least a couple of months by that time. And yes, pullets can go broody. Had one once that went broody on me so early I didn't even get to collect eggs from her to hatch. She was a persistant broody too!

My leghorns are 10 months, and started laying around 6.5 months. Their eggs evened out to the appropriate size around 8.5-9 months. I have them in the incubator right now. I see no reason that they shouldn't do well. But different breeds have different POL, also. I would say wait until they have been laying for at least 2 months, possibly 3 depending on how their maturity rate has been up until this point. Like if they are a breed that is known to take a little longer to mature than others, wait a little longer.

Orpingtons are slow to mature, so you most likely have a few weeks wait. Watch for reddening combs, squatting, and interest in nesting boxes.

I am planning on hatching some chicken eggs. I have some eggs that are from my pullets and there are kinda small can I hatch these? Will the chick be small? Also I had a one of my roosters with my hens around 2 weeks ago. He is gone now but will the eggs be fertile. No other rooster has been with them.
I just took 38 yellow buff chicks out the incubator this morning from young recently started pullet/hens. The eggs were to small to sell so I hatched them, But I have two roosters the same age with these 8 hens. I had 38 yellow buff eggs in the incubator(100% hatch)-----So I will say SURE you can hatch them young fertile eggs, But I do not know if yours will be fertile now or not,

Just For Info I have hatched about 300 eggs from these young yellow buff. These hens are getting close 9 months now but I have been hatching their eggs for at least 2 months.

I would have to agree with PD Riverman necause i have done the same thing too. When my pullet BO went broody her eggs were tiny. Sure enough, thirteen out of 15 eggs hatched and yes they were pretty tiny. Now they are about 4 months old and are where they should be in size.
