Thank you I keep checking their combs to see if they are turning red. They eat a lot too lol.You will see a big increase in size and color as they get close to lay. Orps are hard to wait on, but worth it!

Thank you. I will be patient.Well, I don't think there is any specific time to wait, but I would wait at least a month. Pullet eggs start out a bit small, so you at least want to wait until they start getting a bit bigger. I usually don't hatch eggs until March and most of my pullets are almost a year old by then and have been laying at least a couple of months by that time. And yes, pullets can go broody. Had one once that went broody on me so early I didn't even get to collect eggs from her to hatch. She was a persistant broody too!
