can you hatch snake eggs?

i hatchedthem when i was younger (relatively) we were raising red tail boas, carpet pythons, and ball pythons...we were gonna start some monitor lizards as well. we sold the babies to pet shops and on craigs list a while back.
short answer is yes...

There are a very few Boas that lay eggs, rather than live birth.. but they aren't really common in the pet trade. They are more for the serious hobbyist/collector.

Blue-tongued Skinks live bear, as well ...which is really amazing to me! Some of the sub-species only bear a set of twins, occasionally triplets, but most bear double digits every season!

If you want to incubate some "different" eggs, why not try Leopard Geckos or Bearded Dragons, even? Oh.. and Colubrids (snakes), such as Corns, Rats, Garters ...they lay eggs and you can find a good variety of mutations/morphs/colors ..to make the hatching exciting enough.

These are all pretty straightforward ..and they don't get 8 or more feet long

You know, people say the same things about chickens.

How would you feel if you posted a question on a pet forum about hatching your chicken eggs and people said those things?

"Why would you do that?"

"Ew, chickens are nasty disgusting birds"

"I hate chickens!"

That would make you feel unhappy, right? Please! Think about that and have respect for those of us who like to have pets you may not like, just like we have respect for people who have pets that WE may not like.

I got my 9 y/o a pair of ball pythons for his b-day. The female is doing the stuff I was told she would before laying eggs.
