Can you have a lot of roosters in one pen?

I've heard lots of people do it successfully. I was asked by a chicken rescue if I was interested in an all rooster flock because so many need homes. I don't have the room now, but it's something I would consider in the future.

Yes! I have 2 rooster flocks :) They are great. Their behavior can be really interesting to watch. I love them so much. I feed them Flock Raiser crumbles with occasional free ranging.

...I have even broken some rules by free ranging both my Main flock AND Rooster flock at the same time and there were no problems at all. Rooster flock respected the Main Flock rooster and kept their distance the whole day.

So a few months ago my niece hatched some eggs at school and was given about 13 baby chicks. The bad thing is half of them are roos. We want to raise them til they are fully grown and sell them. But we don't want them messing with the girls so we are planning on putting them all together in one pen. Will they kill each other or will they just establish who's Alpha and leave each other alone?

It's totally up to the roosters who each have their personality I have a 2yr buff orps and a 5 month Easter egger roos they came together last month the orps was nice but just this week my egger roo decided he didn't want the orps around and attacked him, drew blood although this attack roo has nevercshown aggression towards humans or hens but now has towards the rooster

So it will depend on their personality there is no way to tell ahead of time really

I've heard of that before and people calling it a bachelor pad:gig
I've never done it so I'm not sure how it works but give it a shot. If it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out.

I have a bachelor pen. At the moment, it has four one-year-old bantams in it, but there are four nearly grown cockerels in the pen next door. They share a wall and a built-in feeder, so they are face-to-face a lot. Once the youngsters are closer to their full growth, we'll open up the pen and let them fratch it out for a bit. It usually only takes them a few days at that point, just a matter of making sure the youngsters know who is the boss! Yours shouldn't really have that big an issue, though, because they were all raised together. If they start getting really rough with each other, then it's time to either start the sale or head them off to freezer camp.
I love my bachelors! They're so beautiful and their voices are all different. It's pretty cool!

I love watching all of them, but the boys have some different behaviors. I have 2, one is in the house in an xtra large dog crate until I can build him in his own area. The one with the girls is a big boy. He even knows his name, comes when called and actually listened to me when I called him off some smaller girls I'm trying to integrate.

Chickens are smart for sure I have 27 and they each know their own name

That's so sweet he knows his name! I should be teaching mine their names. Usually I just call "Kitty Kitty!" and every living thing within earshot comes running

Out of the 8, 6 know their names pretty well and come running. I was just amazed that calling him off using his name worked. I have dogs that know leave it, obviously so does my rooster.

It comes in handy if one is not in sight. I just call them and they appear and usually running full force to me.
