Can you hear your chickens inside your house?

I almost wonder how neighbors could complain

We have 4 mature crowing roosters and many hens and I can only hear them if I am outside. Our next door neighbors *sometimes* can hear them if they are outside. Will the roosters just get louder over time or are we lucky? I like to hear them

Yes, their run is about 10 feet from the side of our house. In the morning, they make it clear they want to get out of their coop into the run.

I can hear mine from the house, but I like it that way! My coop is in my front yard. DH designed it so I can see them from the windows on one side of the house.

I can hear mine, cause both my coops are very close to our house. I live in a very small farm community and most ppl aren't bothered by chicken noises. I've talked to my closest neighbors and so far they don't mind at all.

I can’t hear mine and can barely see them if they are out in their run. The only place on my property that would work for my girls is on the other side of the horse shelter and pen which is about 150 feet from my house. I wish they were closer.

I can hear mine but we keep the house open when we aren't sweltering in heat and have the a/c on. Luckily, this year, we have had the a/c on very little. Love that fresh air and hearing those roosters crow. Turkeys let me know if someone drives up the drive!

Ours are probably about 75-100 feet away from the house and we have to keep the windows closed most of the year. I would love to hear them! I just keep thinking it would have to be a mighty close neighbor to be annoyed by it

ooooh yes I can hear them, my two mille fleur booted bantam roos have made it an art to do their rendition of dueling banjos every morning at around 5am, which would be fine... if I didn't get home from work at 1am....

... I still love them

My next door neighbor had a beautiful rooster that I was able to hear crow at about 700 feet. I'm not sure how far away he was, but it was far...I"m guessing at the 700 feet. My roosters are even closer, and I hear them crow every morning around 5:00 A.M. and some times during the day. I don't mind though.....we live kind of in the country.
