Can you hear your chickens inside your house?

Only when Whiskers the Worlds Smartest Chicken gets out and is on the porch, on the bench looking at me in the window. *bawk bawk*

Our kennel-coop is about 100 feet from the house. If they chooks are outside and the windows are open, we can hear them when they are loud, or the roo is crowing. If they are inside and the windows are closed, we can just barely hear the roo if we decided to sleep in a bit.

yes we hear ours. But we intentionally built their coop and yard so that whenever I'm in the kitchen I can talk to them. They get especially "happy" when they hear the microwave beep in the morning, because they know that somethings just been defrosted and on it's way out to them.

Fortunately we only have 4 RIR and 3 BR that are 19 wks old today.
