Hello everyone! I am brand new to chicken keeping. I have three 8-week pullets that I bought at a chicken swap in Denver. I have one Buff Orpington (Stella), one Easter Egger (Bellina) and one Jersey Giant (Camilla). I only planned on two, but the lady I bought them from asked if I would like to take Camilla for free. She said that this chicken sits a lot and seems to have trouble walking, and has been that way since she was hatched. She CAN walk, she is just really slow and does prefer to sit down. She also has a little trouble keeping up with her friends..if they go inside the coop and she doesn't see them, she'll sit and cry so loudly I hear her inside the house, and I have to go pick her up and show her where they are. She is sweet and gentle and I love her. Naturally I took her because I have a small, quiet flock and I am a sucker for the underdog. So I was wondering if you could help me figure out what's up. I took some pictures of her feet. They are definitely undersized and wonky compared to the others. I think she is also a real runt for her breed. Any idea what is going on here?
