I helped it and it just popped right out. Most of the feathers were already dried.

Congrats on the hatch! I've had this issue a couple of times, if you have coconut oil, Neosporin, triple Antibiotic, etc, you can gently apply that to the areas that the feathers are dried and stuck to soften the membrane and allow the feathers to gently detachIt's coming out on it's own and is just wiggling around. Also some of the feathers are stuck to the egg.
Sounds like some of the membrane has dried to feathers. You can take a damp/wet Q-tip and soften the membrane and removing stuck shellIs that a problem?
