Can you help me identify this blue/gray little one.UPDATED w/MORE PIC

I was referring to the two that look like EE. I guess my post was confusing. I know that pullets are girls under the age of 1 year.

Well, I just went out and looked at her again and compared her body to our BO and I think you guys are right. She is such a sweetheart...just begs to be held and loved on! I love my babies

I think the average hatchery chick buyer is more interested in having blue-green eggs than a pure-bred Ameraucana. And many of the Easter Eggers are quite beautiful with varied colors and markings. What I find more laughable are the hatcheries that market them as Araucanas - which is a rumpless bird with funny ears that the blue eggs originally came from. That's really a stretch!

Because they're mutts, Easter Eggers are usually quite healthy and have 'hybrid vigor'. Enjoy your girls!

Wow, she really looks like my bantam pullet that I assumed was an EE after I did a lot of looking. Mine does have more bearding around her face, but otherwise, they are very similar. Are you sure she isn't an EE?

Well the gal I bought her from said she was an ameraucana. She also sold me the other two that are pictured above, they are for sure EE. But this one I am not so sure of...she does look kind of like an orpington. I guess when she lays and I get a blue or green egg I will know for sure. I also have a green legged white pullet that I believe may now be an EE too.

Can't wait to start seeing eggs from these young girls.

I am far from expert about this, so take my comments with a grain of salt. I think you have an EE. I have seen photos of black/grey EEs who were bred from a black Auracana roo. I have 1 black Ameraucana and 1 blue Ameraucana from Whitmore Farms. This photo shows them at 6 weeks old. (Mine are not EEs - but you can see where your EE might have gotten the look from a black or blue Ameraucana parent). I have been informed that my blue is likely a pullet and the black is likely a roo. The comb on your chicks is really dark - not like my chicks at all. I believe that an Orpington would have a single comb - and yours seems to have a pea comb. EEs can have different combs because they are mixed breeds.

I think your last comment is absolutely right - the true test will be the egg!

The blue pullet does not have a beard and orpingtons do come in bantam size as well as standard/large. But that is just my guess.

The blue/grey one looks like the "cuckoo Maran" pullet I have. She was hatched from a dark brown egg, but doesn't look like a Cuckoo Maran to me! The other two look just like my Ameracauna. My "Cuckoo Maran" is in the center, surrounded by random EE and a leghorn.
