I just coat in liquid dish soap to suffocate the mites and this needs done long enough that you also get the ones hatching from eggs. I heard people use Vaseline, petroleum jelly. Good luck

I have used Vicks vaporub on their legs, and applied it for a few days in a row. Worked really well. By the way your new rooster is very beautiful!

I keep my coop well-dusted with diatomaceous earth. It's great for creepy-crawlies. Didn't do a darn thing to stop the stray cat who ate five of my chicks last night.
