can you help me tell the gender in my quail

On buttons it's the vent feathers and the over-all color of the bird.

To the OP, the first thing I need to know is how old? They are both bluefaces but to know the sex I need to know how old.

The first pic in this thread is of a male blueface button quail. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=539689 You can clearly see the shiny blue on his head and breast.

They are definitely bluefaces, but the sex cannot be determined for sure unless we know the age. The males don't start getting their pretty heads until around 4-6 weeks old.
