Hi!

We received 11 chicks from cackle hatchery. They are all bantams. There are four breeds.

We think that #3 is a Rhode Island red. #4 barred rock or similar. The others we we unsure of. #1s (there are four) are much larger than the others.

Perhaps unrelated, but three of the chicks are struggling with defecating.

Thanks in advance. We love these girls.

Buff Brahma, silver duckwing old English game bantam, Rhode Island Red, barred old English game bantam. Are these sexed?
Thank you for your reply! They came as part of a Bantam package, which estimates the lot at 90% female, though we do not know yet. We suspect that two of the chicks are male due to differences in their feathers and behavior, but we are novices, so not totally sure that it is accurate.

You’re welcome!

In that case it would be crele old English game and those are sexable at hatch. That would indeed be a female.

This is the list of breeds for their sexed female bantams

Breeds can include: Buff Brahma, Dominique, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, Crele Old English, Barred Cochin, Barred Old English Game, and/or Golden Laced Cochin Bantams.
