Can you help with my coop

I've used straw too, but the pine shaving do better with both moisture and smell. The straw will have to be changed more frequently and you look like you already have tons of stuff to do! I get a package of pine shavings (never cedar - it's bad for birds) from TSC for $5. My coop is 6x6 and one package lasts a month. Should last even longer for you! Good luck with your chickens. Sounds like you're off to a great start!

I love what you've done. It looks like a very cozy bungalow.

I hope you find the pallets that you are looking for. Pallet coops are a great idea. Keep us posted on your progress.

Keep up the good work. You're off to a great start.

If you're looking for 'free' bedding, maybe you can use raked leaves. Get your kids to rake up leaves or pine needles, and keep a big bag handy for changing the litter. I'd put newspaper down first, then the leaves - or a tarp on the floor with leaves. My chickens love to dig thru leaves - sometimes find bugs in there!
