Can you identify the Chicken Parent breeds that made these Bantam Cocks?

Hi Everyone,

A friend has these TWO bantam cocks/roosters. She tells me they are approx. 2 years old, she also said she doesn't know what type of breeds they are and gave the impression they are of mixed breed. Do you know what sort of breeds theses Cock's parents are likely to have been? :idunno Can you spot any particularly strong identifiable traits? I have no idea. :hmm

Cock No 1. has a black coloured tail and cock No. 2 has a grey coloured tail.

Here is Cock No. 1

And Cock No. 2

Thank you in advance :)

They are mixes, but there are several traits which narrow down what the parents probably were.
#1 has a rose comb, slate legs, some white on the earlobes, spangles on the wing and tail feathers, and feathered legs. One breed that has both spangled feathers and feathered legs is Mille Fluer D'Uccle booted bantam, so I think that is probably one parent. The other parent would have to contribute the rose comb, slate legs and white earlobes. I can think of two popular bantam breeds that have all of those-- Rose Comb bantams and Hamburg bantams. So one of those is probably the other parent.

#2 has all the same traits except his legs aren't feathered and he lacks spangles in his plumage. His tail is also longer and rounder. I can't see his breast-- it's possible he has spangling there. If he does then he might have the same parentage as the 1st cockerel. If not, then he's probably a Rose Comb bantam mixed with something else. His body type matches Rose Comb bantams fairly well.

These are just guesses based on appearance. If you don't know what the parents were and can't get photos of them, then you'll probably never know exactly what mix they are for sure. But hopefully this at least gives you an idea of what the parentage could be.
