Can you identify the gender of a chicken by the way it sounds?

Sorry for the silly question. I'm just wondering if by 5 weeks (if your still not sure what gender a chicken might be) you can confirm the gender of a chicken by the way it squawks. Sometimes I'll pick up a chick and there are some notable differences in the way they sound. Some sound raspier than others. Will they be males?

Voice sexing only works on ducklings - unless that is they chicks are crowing.
