I have hatched Trader Joe fertile eggs several times, just for the fun of it. One of my best layers is "Josephine", a TJ product. The eggs had been washed and refrigerated, of course. The way it usually goes is that nearly all begin to develop, but at the end the hatch rate is low. It is important to read the Julian date on the end of the carton to get recently boxed eggs. The best hatch I every had from them was 8 out of 11. More frequently, it was 50% or less. I bought fertile brown eggs from Clark's Nutrition twice and never hatched any.
