Looks like I'm going to end up with a pair of Welsummers-at 3 weeks of age one is showing much more definite signs of a comb than the other one. Also, the one showing the comb signs was lighter in color than the other one.
Will it be safe to keep them together as a pair, or will the roo tear up the hen's back? I could integrate him into my family laying flock so he would have 3 other hens, but I want to hatch some eggs from this pair as they are very high quality birds who came from very pretty dark terra cotta eggs.
