Can you make a hen go broody?

Thanks for the response. is the increasing daylight hours that trigger the hormonal response? Something else ?

It depends on the bird, they are either broody or not..
Nothing you can do to 'make' a bird go broody,
as is spelled out in several post in this thread if you've read them all.

I did read some of them, and they all seemed to say the same thing, although with no explanation. I only have 1 hen who goes broody, and does so in the spring. I guess only some hens have the hormones still in place.
Thanks for your response. I am looking for a place to get some help identifying hens and roosters. Coupled you point me in the right direction ?
