How do you have them all sold already?

Well I knew I could get rid of them quick even before I bought the eggs, that's why I did it. When this guy offered to collect hatching egg's for that $$ I couldn't pass it up. I know an awfull lot of chicken folks and all I had to do was make a few call's and it just snowballed, I started getting calls and in 3 day's they were all sold. And all I have to do is bring them to one place on a Saturday night and all those folks will just come by and pick them up................. easy.

we buy from a lady down the road, she orders like 600 chicks from hatchiers different popular breeds then sells them for a coulple bucks more then what she baught them for. that way theres no min, of 25 we can get as few as we want from her, and recuest breeds for next year. she sells all of them within 2 months

As a matter of fact I am heading to a poultry auction sale barn this afternoon, there is allways about 1000 birds or more, chicks, eq, and misc poultry items there. it's fun and we get to network with a bunch of chicken freinds. Yeah it's cool and the good thing is on any given Saturday there are at least one poultry auction going on within 30 miles from me, so there is allways a way to make a buck buying and selling.

you can, BUT you need high end birds rarer the better, And a lot of them. With the $2-$4 chicks you just end up breaking even with feed cost if you're lucky.
Most of my bantams are in the $6- $12 per chick range some higher, and am usually booked solid for the year before May. If you go with rare breeds in rare colors and they are a breed of high demand (many rare breeds arent in demand), you can make enough to pay for your hobby and a little on the side. You aint gonna get rich with it though. But a hobby that pays for itself is a great hobby!!
