I was wondering if you could make soap from store bought milk? I've really been wanting to try soaping making but i don't have any critters. Thanks!

Yes! Goatsmilk soap can be made from canned milk as well. Concentrated works best, as you can use straight water for the lye, then add the concentrate later. You won't burn the milk with the lye that way. So, yes, I'm sure you can make regular milk soaps in the same manner. Or, just use the regular milk and freeze before adding lye, again, to avoid burning the milk.

You can use any milk, it is a matter of preference..... I always freeze my milk and use it in place of the water.

Buttermilk is great as well as goat's milk.... as I have goats, I use fresh....

yep..... I'd go for buttersmilk as it is creamier or use some 1/2 and 1/2 with whole milk....

If you go with 1/2 and 1/2 you can use the paper container for the soap mold....

We drink tons of coffee and cream and I use the half-n-half containers for molds... they make great 3"x3" soaps.
