I did have to get rid of one cat that I adored because she started attacking semi-grown chickens. All my other cats do great. Oliver has started stalking some bantams, but if they challenge him, he runs. He's never bothered baby chicks at all.
I would wait til your chickens are older, and more secure before introducing a kitten. That way the chickens can put him in his place.
