I’d think they would have enough calcium to start laying then add oyster shell once eggs start coming.

Mine looks like yours but mine lay only white eggs! What's up with that, not that it really matters but that seems weird to me. How's your leg?

My fawn and white runner girls lay white eggs too. what the heck?

I’m feeding them nutrena all flock. They hatched June 26th.

I'd just keep on the way you are for now soon as the first egg comes put out the oyster shell. Shouldn't be long now. Can't believe they are already 7 months old . Are you add more this year?

I’m thinking about it. I would like two more. One blue and one fawn-white runner. I’m going to remove the rocks this spring and just use the straw. The rocks seem to just get packed in with mud and decaying straw, probably because eventhough I’m in Texas, we have very wet seasons before and after our ungodly summers. The straw has been doing great.
And then I’ll figure out a way to create separate areas(via chicken wire) in the coop/run to keep the drake and other females away from the newbies. How long do you have to keep them separate from the drake? Four months?

Until laying age which is usually 4months on. The girls will let you know when they are ready they will lay down for the drake, they'll also bob their heads at him too I am sure you have already seen all of this. lol. So separate and then you can have supervised times when they can all be together. I am getting 3 F/W end of May. so excited. Having them side by side will really help for when they can all be together as a flock.
