Can you raise baby chicks in unheated garage

So if the chicks are spending most of their time under the mhp does that mean its too cold for them in the rest of the brooder? The are very quite

I agree no heat lamps I have quit using them at all heating pads and hardware cloth make a great cave .. by the way the chicken wire is not secure please replace with hardware cloth

Yes! I get pictures from family all the time and I sit here and laugh. I miss getting 1-2 feet of snow in one storm though, it just keeps coming down and you never know when it'll stop.

That was from October till a week ago! It was the worst winter...glad its over!

I wouldn't worry if they are not making any loud chirping noises because once they start making that noise it means that something is wrong. Just as long as they are eating and drinking, they should be fine.

The Sunbeam site gives the specs for each model and there are a few without automatic shutoff. I think this is the one I have.
