Too bad we didn't get to watch, that would have fun. They grow up so fast. Then they will be teenagers, and you won't like their friends. They will stay out past dusk or roost in trees - being a parent even a chicken one isn't easy.

Thank y'all so much. I do have a question, I'm trying to introduce them to yogurt but they look at me like I'm bird brained, so would mixing some of their chick feed into it be a good way to get them to eat it?

It takes time for birds to overcome the fear of new foods. Chicks especially. This is a survival mechanism. Not to eat something they are not familiar with so they don't die. So just keep introducing new foods to them and eventually they come around. My adult chickens don't even bother looking to see what I feed them anymore. I put a plate of food down for them, they nearly eat my hand off in the process, wolf the entire plate of food down and THEN ask "What did we just eat??"

Lol good to know! I did find the chicks love dandelions and their greens which is great because my yard is overrun with it.

Wyandottes7 may have a different opine, but IMO they will only grow more loving of you as they age. Most are more skittish this young than yours. It must mean you were destined to be a chicken momma !

Lol thank you sunflr that makes my heart smile and well yes I gotta admit.....I'm already grabbing people I work with and showing them the baby pics I get w the cell phone no matter how bad the quality! Now I have to add some cuteness in here, this morning I was holding sweet pea in both my hands against my heart and rubbing the side of her neck rocking her, as she was sleeping she would occasionally kick out a leg just like a sleeping dog dreaming! So cute!

Most people carry pics of their kids around in their wallets or cell phones. Chicken people replace these with pics of their chicken babies. Ha!
