Totally! He puts up with me and all of my animal-loving antics (including 5 pet chickens, 3 show dogs, 1 client dog and a rescue I am fostering). That man is a saint! LOL

Haha! We have Hillbilly-fab going down in my backyard! Someone bring the banjo!!

Great idea! And your hubby is a keeper, I agree.

I'm just north of you (about 1.5 hrs) and I'm having the same problem. The first winter w/ our coop is making think I'm going to have a lot of work to do before NEXT winter.

Already am fixing drainage issues. This summer it may be gravel, or something, something......

These past few weeks of storms were the pitts, werent they? Between all of the mud, downed trees/power lines, and roadway mess it doesnt feel like living in California! Where is the 70* weather and blue skies we pay such a premium for?!?

I bet you my girls are thinking the same thing!

Those poor neglected little chickens. They look so sad on that green lush grass.

My chickens are spoiled rotten also. Friday night is clean out the fridge night and tonight my girls got dried up pieces of a chuck roast (simmered in a little water to soften it up) that I ran through the food processor and then added whatever was in the fridge. Corn, left over mashed potatoes, leftover squash and some pasta. Mixed it all together and let them at it. It's going to be well below zero tonight and they get a good meal, I don't have to throw food into the compost pile and I save on feed.

I am so glad I have this thread today. I've had a heck of a day with a bad hatch going on so this thread is a nice escape.

It was raining cats and dogs again tonight so the sod was perfect timing!

Ok, the long awaited hillbilly-fabulous solar lights LOL
